Pumpkin Patch 2011

Someone is certainly growing up!! These pics are much different from the ones of her newborn who couldn't hold up her own head last year. Addison had a great time at the Merrymead Farms with the family this year.

I can feed myself!

Addison decided that once she turned 1, she no longer needed anyone to feed her. She began to exert her "independence" and scream if we tried to feed her with a spoon.

Happy 1st Birthday!

Addison's first birthday party : October 1, 2011 Addison actually had 3 Birthday celebrations - but this was her "big" one. What a lucky girl.

Our 2011 summer project

So, we ripped down all the old screen and several broken/rotted boards from the porch, power washed the place, replaced the boards/screen, and repainted all that wood. New carpeting was cut for the deck and the place is better than ever. We finished just in time (literally) to celebrate Addison's birthday there on October 1st. (As usual, Greg performed much more of the work on the project. Thanks a million sweetheart!!)

Visit from the Florida crew

We celebrated Addison's 1st birthday with the Florida crew the weekend after her birthday. Highlights including a trip to the Elmwood park zoo and playing badminton in the backyard. Oh yeah, and wait - our illness this visit was pink eye for Addison and Heather that started just in time for a script from Chris before she left for the airport.

Take me home, country road....

to the place where I belong. West Virginia......We had a fantastic week at the New in August. Addison loved the outdoors and loved watching everyone climb. We enjoyed a brand new experience - soaking in a hot tub and sleeping in a real bed after a day of physical exertion. Loved it!!! Can't wait to go back again.

Random corn

Two random corn stalks grew up in our front "garden" (well mess of weeds this year). The resultant corn was by all means mutant.

Addison first starting pushing toys around on August 8. She was so proud of herself. Just watch.

Happy 6th Anniversary!!

For our anniversary weekend - we power washed the house and porch. Well, at least in the afternoon. Aunt Christine watched Addison in the evening while we watched the final Harry Potter (boo) on the big screen and enjoyed a fantastic meal from Bridget's steak house.

The war on the high seas was a close battle. In the end, we're still not sure who was the victor. What a great Sunday on the water.

We spent many hours in the pool this summer - well in June and July. August was mostly a wash-out for pool days this year. Addison loves the water!

First trip to OCMD

Addison's first trip to the shore was July 22, 2011. We visited the first beach that Heather had ever been too - Ocean City, MD. We spent the weekend with Chris, Cora, Cameron, and Kayleigh. The heat index was over 100 degrees all weekend! Addison was medicated round the clock for fevers that spiked as high as 104.6. Thank God Chris was there or else we would have spent an entire day in the ER most likely! We ate crabs, swam in the ocean (even Chris and Cora were in the water), played mini-golf, walked the boards, and played crab with the kids in the pool. It was a fantastic trip! (And Happy Birthday to Cameron!!)
