February Birthday Celebration

We had a joint birthday celebration in February for Todd, Claudette and Heather. Addison and Tucker had a great time getting a few close-ups of each other. Addison wanted to touch every part of Tucker's face.

Day at the Spa

Greg treated Addison with a spa treatment today. A long warm bath followed by a back and foot massage. She specially requested a hot stone massage, but unfortunately she's a little too young for that intense heat. I'd say that she is in total control of Daddy at this point.

Oatmeal!!

It's official, Addison has started on oatmeal cereal. Most of it ends up on her face and the bib, with the occasional spoonful that makes it into her mouth. She gets her best intake when she's talking up a storm and we can sneak in the spoon. Soon she'll get to try peas and beans.

Happy Stinkin' 5 months

Well, it's February the 15th and Addison is 5 months old. She has been sick for the last 3 weeks. She does great with the nebulizer - most of the time. We're praying that she kicks this viral infection soon.

I absolutely love my pal Violet!! She is the best dog ever (and I love that she's purple too.)

Bathroom update

Greg has been working and working and working to get our bathroom completed. We decided that a door was needed between the bathroom and closet, so the best option was a pocket door. This meant the construction of a wall, moving electrical outlets/switches, and of course, drywall and drywall repair. The drywall is up, though not in these pictures. Will post more photos later.

Meeting Mommy's crazy friends

Addison spent her 4 month birthday hanging out with Mommy's girlfriends. She hadn't seen Joanne since the time she was one hour old!! (I will forever remember Addison's very FIRST hospital visitors.) Most of the others hadn't met her yet at all. We had a great time, and actually celebrated Kathy's birthday at the same time.

Four months

Stats this month: 25.5 inches long (90th percentile) and 15 pounds, 4 ounces (75th percentile). Baby girl had her 4 month shots on the 17th and subsequently ended up with a fever and then four days later her first real head cold. She's ringing in 4 months with a bang! She has missed three days of school and will have loads of homework to catch up on if this continues. For now, she's enjoying Baby Einstein videos in her bouncer until she feels better.

Addison's has a new friend - fresh from the womb. Anna is an absolute sweetheart. Their introduction was typical - on the agenda was milk and tummy time. Welcome to the world Anna Grace!

Merry Christmas #2!

The Murphy's celebrated Christmas the weekend of New Year's. We had a fantastic visit and lots of good food. Addison was on her best behavior as usual. It was a Hap-Hap-Happy Christmas!!

Merry Christmas!

Our first Christmas as a threesome was wonderful! Christmas eve was full of great food prepared by Grandmom and Pops and the company of Uncle Matt from Utah. Santa was running late on Christmas morning, but delivered our gifts none-the-less. We continued the Sudlow family tradition of eggs benedict on Christmas morning, though we had ours around noon. We spent the afternoon at Christine and Todd's house with more great food and really great punch. Addison won't remember this Christmas, but we sure will!!

3 months old!

This month's photo shoot was spread over two days. Our little bean is now 14 pounds, 2 ounces. She loves talking to Daddy and has started grabbing onto her toys. She has been making great gains during tummy time, which has been a struggle for her. Just today she started to really get the hang of lifting her head and holding it. Great job Addison!!!

First Christmas tree.

Yesterday we made the trip to Holly Days nursery to get Addison's first Christmas tree. It was absolutely freezing, and we actually saw a few snow flurries while we were out there. For the first time in our family's history, we took home the first tree that we saw. It is the perfect tree!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Last Sunday we celebrated Thanksgiving with the Sudlows. Addison was a great sport and slept through dinner.






Today we are enjoying a quiet day at home. The temperature is hovering around 35 degrees and we are getting our first snowfall of the winter! No accumulation thankfully, but enough to introduce Addison to this icky wet precipitation. She was thrilled as you can tell.

Two months old!

Wow is Addison growing up fast!! At her two month appointment she was up to 12 pounds, 1 ounce and 23 1/4 inches long. (Which was a 2 pounds 5 ounces heavier and 1.75 inches longer in the month since her last appointment.) We're pretty sure that she's well fed at this point! I'm hoping that the growing slows down so that she can actually wear all of the pretty clothes that she's received. I had to box all the 0-3 month items that no longer were long enough and were a bit too tight in the shoulders.
